Hey there, tech-savvy folks and lovers of all things digital! The Ibadan Tech Expo 2023 took the city by storm on the 9th of September, and we couldn’t help but join in on the tech-fueled fun. Keep reading to see how it went!

First things first, let’s talk about the turnout! Ibadan, ki ni soo?! Well, it seems like the answer was “Tech Expo!” The event saw a massive crowd of tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs coming together for a day filled with knowledge sharing, networking, and, of course, some good old-fashioned fun.

Slvr Wlf Digitale made its presence known at the Ibadan Tech Expo. We were ready to soak up the knowledge and connect with fellow tech enthusiasts. But hey, who can resist a little party, right?

We got VIP tickets and turned up BIG for this event. The VIP ticket gave us access to front-row seats with a close-up view of speakers and panellists (I mean, we could almost touch them SMILES), snacks and juice.

Did I forget to mention we were sponsors? Yup yup! Slvr Wlf was a sponsor of the first tech expo in Ibadan! Big, right? We think so, too!

The Tech Expo brought some heavy hitters to the stage. We had the privilege of hearing from Seun Onigbinde, the CEO and Co-Partner of BudgIT, who shared insights that left us pondering the future of tech in Nigeria. And if that wasn’t enough, Akin Alabi, the business mogul, spoke on how to sell tech to Nigerians.

Who doesn’t love freebies? Attendees had the chance to win some fantastic souvenirs, and the anticipation was electric during the raffle draw. The lucky winners were all smiles, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Product demos from Seki App, Cardify, PatchPay, Watu, Shiga, Sanwo App, Maringo, and others left us in awe, showcasing the incredible innovations happening right here in Ibadan.

Gaming enthusiasts had a blast with the Bunkers Game Show. Tech-related questions tested their knowledge, and the participant with the highest score walked away with free access to the Bunkers hub for an entire month. Talk about a sweet deal!

Knowledge was flowing like a river at the event. Dorothy Edem Ossai of MAYEIN took us on a journey through the exciting world of education in tech, highlighting the need for this at the grassroots levels. Ore Afolayan of Renifi emphasised the need to build and maintain a relationship with customers.

The event wasn’t all about glitz and glamour but also a hub for insightful panel discussions. Topics included:

  • Preparing the Workforce of Tomorrow: Empowering Individuals with Digital Skills and Tech Education.
  • Navigating the Ibadan Tech Ecosystems: Strategies for Building and Scaling Successful Tech Startups in Ibadan.
  • Tech Policy and Governance: Nurturing Innovation and Building a Digital Ibadan.
  • Marketing and Growth Strategies for Tech Startups in Ibadan (our favourite 🥳😉😁).

These discussions were a goldmine of information, and we left feeling inspired and ready to conquer the tech world! Long and short, the speaker line-up was fantastic, and you had to be there to experience it!

In conclusion, the Ibadan Tech Expo 2023 was a smashing success, leaving us with a newfound appreciation for the growing tech scene in Nigeria. We can’t wait to see how the tech landscape in Ibadan continues to evolve and thrive. Until next year, techies! 🚀💻
